Settler's Days starts Friday in Lanark

LANARK – Old Settler’s Days will be Friday through Sunday at Lanark City Park. The events schedule will include:



Friday, June 26

9 a.m. to 3 p.m. book sale and coffee shop at Lanark United Methodist Church, 405 E. Locust St.; 3-8 p.m. arts, crafts and more at the vendors area in the park; 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. beer garden; 5-9 p.m. food court; 5 p.m. kiddie tractor pull, Burns Street tent; 6:30 p.m. Syl Mueller’s kids fun run; 6:45 p.m. raging road rally 5K run, register at On the Move, 123 W. Locust St.; 7 p.m. Decades Trivia, Burns Street tent; 8 p.m. 5K awards, Burns Street tent; 8:30 p.m. outdoor movie night “Madagascar 2,” city parking lot by the library, 110 W. Carroll St.; 9:30 p.m. 1980s theme night at Burns Street tent, 1980s costume contest at midnight; and 10 p.m. Rock, Paper, Scissors tournament, Burns Street tent.



Saturday, June 27

7 a.m. early-bird breakfast at Heritage Center, 106 S. Broad St.; 9-11 a.m. book sale and coffee shop, Lanark United Methodist Church; 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. arts, crafts and more at the park; 10 a.m. parade lineup; 11 a.m. parade; 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. food court; 11 a.m. volleyball tournament and bags tournament at Burns Street tent; 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. beer garden; noon, horseshoe tournament at Burns Street tent, Cutest Baby Contest at Boyd Street tent and Reel Movements of the Decades variety show at Boyd Street tent; noon to 4 p.m. bingo at picnic shelter, kids games and dunk tank, and children’s farm; 12:30-3:30 p.m. marble chase; 1 p.m. live music in the gazebo, croquet tournament at Standish House, 540 W. Carroll St., and cakewalk at gazebo; 2 p.m. Read on the Wild Side with Rob Erdman, Boyd Street tent; 3 p.m. Hear and Now Decade Music Festival; 7 p.m. Wii tournament at the Gazebo; and 9 p.m. The Bones at Burns Street tent.



Sunday, June 28

10:30 a.m. Church Under the Tent with the Men of Calvary; 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. pork chop dinner and Dessert Zone; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. arts, crafts, and more at the park; noon bags tournament; 12:30 p.m. kiddie water fights; 1-3 p.m. kids games and dunk tank; and 2 p.m. safety zone.
