Lee Relay raises more than $86,000

DIXON – The Lee County Relay for Life event on June 12 raised $86,000 and the donations are still coming in, according to event Chairwoman Jennifer Weiser.

There were 80 cancer survivors in attendance. 

The top fundraising teams were: 1. Delores Hope, captained by Laura Helfrich, which raised $8,209; 2. Jellystone Joggers, captained by Cindy McPhail and Holli Rapp, which raised $7,272; 3. St. Anne Cancer Crusaders, captained by Marla Freil, which raised $6,642.

The top youth team was the Dixon High School Key Club, captained by Ashely Wolfe, which raised $1,663.

The top individual fundraiser was Marla Freil, who raised $6,408.

The top online fundraiser was Julie Butterbaugh, who raised $445.
