Whiteside County Sheriff

Vehicle crash, 9:30 p.m. Thursday on state Route 40; a farm tractor with a trailer, operated by a 14-year-old Tampico boy, was southbound on state Route 40 when the trailer inadvertently sideswiped a northbound vehicle driven by Shirley M. Turnbaugh, 56, of Mount Carroll.

According to statements, the 14-year-old misjudged the speed of the approaching vehicle as he was crossing a bridge, restricting his ability to move over. Turnbaugh received minor injuries and was taken to CGH Medical Center by ambulance. Aid was provided by Sterling Police and Fire departments and CGH Ambulance.

Donna L. Tarbill, 58, of Sterling; 4:36 p.m. Wednesday at Sterling Police Department; Rock Island County warrant, contempt of court; given notice to appear in court.



Amboy Police

James R. McCallister, 23, of Amboy; 9:20 p.m. Monday at 1 S. Mason Ave.; Ogle County warrant, failure to appear – possession of drug paraphernalia; taken to Lee County Jail.

Lennie E. Roland, 54, of Amboy; 7:15 p.m. Tuesday; domestic battery; taken to Lee County Jail.

Addison M. Machen, 17, of Amboy; 3 p.m. Wednesday at Amboy Police Department; burglary; taken to Lee County Jail.

Girl, 16, no town listed; 5:10 p.m. at Amboy Police Department; burglary, criminal damage to property; released to parents.
