On-the-job lesson: Have patience and be kind to everyone, because people don’t come here to be treated badly. They need our help.

Alma mater: I graduated in 1999 from Rock Falls High School, and earned a certificate in dental assisting at Scott Community College, Davenport, Iowa.

Philosophy: Hurry up and wait.

Hearts: Go camping, take my dog for a walk, take part in the Family Readiness Group at the Dixon Armory. I’m a reality show junkie.

Darts: I don’t like to have my husband go overseas. Getting bad customer service.

Haunts: Over at my friends’ and family’s houses, and at Woodhaven Lakes, Amboy.

Heroes: My husband and all the guys over there.

First job: I was a waitress at Pizza Hut when I was 16. I liked it.

First car: A 1991 Mitsubishi Eclipse. I was 17.

Read this:  The “Outlander” series by Diane Gabaldon.

People say I look like: Ricki Lake.

Phobias: Heights and drowning.

Guilty pleasure: Shopping in general.

I’d like to meet: My grandpa, Warren Geeting.

In the dictionary next to: Reliable. My husband and I are people you can rely on.

Trading places: I’d like to be Oprah, so I could interview celebrities and be able to have a lot of money for charities.

Trading spaces: I’d like to take a cruise in Europe, for a little bit of both history and the experience.

Best thing about Oregon: It’s a small town, and you can know and trust your neighbors.

Shout out to: All my friends and family.
