ASHTON – A 28-year-old Ashton man has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the death of a 27-year-old acquaintance found in his home early Sunday morning.

Eric M. Lemons was arrested at 9:30 a.m. at his home at 502 Paddock St.

The body of Todd E. Harn, 28, was found around 7:30 a.m. Sunday on the floor at 604 Brown Street, Apt. 2, in Ashton.

According to a preliminary autopsy, Harn died of "blunt force trauma to the head," Lee County Sheriff John Varga said.

Police were responding to a 911 call made by one of Harn's roommates, who found his body in a pool of blood, the sheriff said. Police have a weapon but aren't saying what it is at this time, he said.

Lemons will appear in court Tuesday afternoon.
