Helen Leckman

MONTREAL – On Thursday, March 19, 2009, Helen Leckman, 88, passed away at West Island Manor, Montreal.

Helen was born Jan. 17, 1921, in Montreal, the daughter of Paul and Anna (Suska) Domanski. She married Walter Leckman on July 11, 1943, in Montreal.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Walter; her daughters, Helen (Steve) Jastrzebski of Montreal, Wendy (Shelly) Marks of Sterling, Terrye (Robert) Masson of St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada, and Debbie (Terry) Ortslan of Toronto. She also is survived by her grandchildren, Dr. Natalie (Tod) Marks Schneiderman of Chicago, Jackie (Alain) Paradis of Montreal, Alex (Erica) Marks of Chicago, Barry Marks of Long Beach, Calif., and Anna and Garen Ortslan of Toronto; and two great-grandchildren, Jonathan Paradis of Montreal and Ella Rose Marks of Chicago.

She was laid to rest at Cote Des Neiges Cemetery, Montreal.

Arrangements were completed by Yves Le´gare´ Funeral Home, Laval, Quebec.
