Home of Hope to open office in Ogle County
DIXON - With one-fifth of the Home of Hope's clients coming from Ogle County, the cancer-support center thought it was time to open a small office in Oregon.
The Home of Hope's Oregon office, located at 1030 Pines Road, will be open only 2 or 3 days a week, with four staff members rotating in and out.
The Oregon office will open on Jan. 5.
Home of Hope offers free educational, wellness and counseling programs for people with cancer and their family members.
Services at the Oregon office will be similar to the services offered at the Dixon office, but on a smaller scale, said Kathleen Hughes, Home of Hope's executive director.
"I feel there's a need to reach out, and do more outreach to that area," Hughes said.
