'Sounds of Christmas' variety show coming Dec. 12-14

DIXON - The Historic Dixon Theatre will host "The Sounds of Christmas," a variety show featuring local talent to help raise money for the theater. The shows are at 7 p.m. Dec. 12 and 13, and 2 p.m. Dec. 14. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger, and are available at the door the day of the show. Additional donations are welcome. The doors will open an hour before the performances. Dancing and singing will be featured, with students from Sauk Valley Community College, St. Ambrose University, Northern and Western Illinois universities, South Beloit University, Kishwaukee College, and several high schools including Dixon and Newman.
