BY SVN NEWS SERVICE

Sterling High School senior Eric Pease, son of Ron and Jane Pease, of Sterling, is a September student of the month. Favorite class: Biology, because I'm looking at going into the medical field. Top teacher: Donna Spencer for English, because she was a lot of fun and challenging. Extracurriculars: Key Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society, BLIND, Madrigals, Science Club, swimming, cross country and marching band. After graduation: I hope to attend Marquette University, Augustana or the University of Illinois, to major in biology with a pre-med concentration. Paycheck: I work at the Sterling Rock Family YMCA, in the aquatics program, and for the Sterling Park District, as a coach for the Sterling Stingrays. BFF: Taylor Viering, because we think a lot alike. Hearts: Favorite food is chicken strips with ranch dressing, favorite musician is Jack Johnson, favorite movie is "Crash," favorite TV show is "CSI" and favorite board game is "Apples to Apples." Survival guide: Get involved and use your resources. Useless knowledge: Word searches. I'm in the dictionary next to: Motivated, because I never settle, I always strive to do more. Personal trivia: I'm a deacon at First Presbyterian Church. Dream job: National park ranger, because I really like the outdoors. Trading places: The president, to see how difficult it is and how many challenges he has to face each day. Trading spaces: The rain forest; it would be cool to see different species. Read this: "The Scarlet Letter," by Nathaniel Hawthorne. He has a lot of imagery and imbedded symbols. Shout out: To my family. Do you know someone who ought to be featured in Know Your Neighbors?
