Know Your Neighbor: Jenny Scudero, Counselor

Jenny Scudero, 26, of Sterling, is a counselor at Washington Elementary School in Sterling, where she has been for three years. Her parents, Mike and Patti Scudero, and her brother, Tim, 22, all live in Warrenville, where she grew up. On-the-job lesson: I've learned about being flexible and patient. Philosophy: Live each day to the fullest. I learned it from my experiences. Hearts: I like to exercise and play sports, like softball. I enjoy spending time with friends and co-workers. I like to watch "The Office." Darts: Cooking. Haunts: Restaurants and movie theaters. Hero: My mom. She's provided for her family. First job: I worked in the office of McDonald's Corp., doing copying and other duties. I was 16. It was good money. Read this: "The Misfits," by John Howe. It's about getting bullied, and ways to deal with it. People say I look like: Julia Roberts. Phobias: I'm claustrophobic. Guilty pleasure: Chips and anything salty. In the dictionary next to: Funny.
