Know Your Neighbor: Michael Mohr, Resource coordinator

Michael, 27, is a resource coordinator at Northwestern Illinois Center for Independent Living in Rock Falls, where he helps other people with disabilities. He is the son of Scott and Cherie Mohr of Sterling. On-the-job lesson: Living my life with a disability (cerebral palsy) is much easier compared to other people. Alma mater: Sterling High School, 1999. Bachelor's degree in sports management from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, master's in education - human services at Southern Illinois University. Philosophy: I really try to enjoy life. You can always find something positive.
