Illinois Marine killed in Iraq

By The Associated Press

CHERRY VALLEY (AP) - The Department of Defense says a Marine from northern Illinois has been killed while serving in Iraq. Corporal Adam T. McKiski, 21, of Cherry Valley, died last Thursday along with 25-year-old Stewart S. Trejo of Montana. The DOD says they died in combat in Anbar province. McKiski is the second casualty from the Rockford area in Iraq in less than three months. Twenty-four-year-old Sergeant Blake Evans was killed in May by an improvised explosive device while he was on patrol.
