LSSI benefit features soul, classical, contemporary
STERLING - Singer Rodney Fair of Naperville will headline the "From Mozart to Motown" benefit concert Sunday.
Soul, classical and contemporary music will grace the Sterling High School Centennial Auditorium stage at the event, a fundraiser for Lutheran Social Services of Illinois.
Fair is a previous Sauk Valley Star Search winner, and has performed with the U.S. Air Force Tops in Blue choir. He's set to deliver a pop-soul mix of songs like "My Girl," "What a Wonderful World" and "Isn't She Lovely."
Other performances at the concert will include Mozart's "Alleluia" by Laura Vinje, "New York, New York" by Marty Huntley, Angie Harrison's take on Bette Midler's "Wind Beneath my Wings," an adaptation of "I'm Already There," by the group Lonestar
