'Willy Wonka Junior' playing this weekend

STERLING - Students from Centennial and Woodlawn Arts academies will present "Willy Wonka Junior," a one-hour version of Roald Dahl's "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," Friday through Sunday at Centennial Auditorium. It's the story of five children who draw Golden Tickets from Wonka chocolate bars to win the chance to tour Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. More than 70 children, ages 9 through high school, have been practicing for five weeks, director Tim Schlegel said. The play will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. All tickets are $6, and are available online at
