Teen OK after crashing through 3 farm buildings

BY EARLEEN HINTONehinton@shawnews.comOgle County Newspapers

OREGON - An Oregon teen gave new meaning to the term barnstorming Friday after she plowed a car through three separate farm buildings at the intersection of Pines and Ridge roads.

Police responded to the single-vehicle crash after 6 p.m., after Adrian Considine, 17, of Oregon, drove a Mercury Mystique through three barns at 2055 S. Ridge Road, Oregon.

The car came to rest inside the third barn used to house horses; however, the animals were not harmed because they were out in a pasture at the time.

Considine was taken to KSB Hospital by Oregon ambulance. She was treated and released.

According to the owner, Jean Colbacchini, the first barn has been hit several times by motor vehicles through the years, even though there are rumble strips, a stop sign and a flashing light at the intersection.

Colbacchini said a pop-up camper and three snowmobiles stored in the first two buildings were smashed in the crash.

The accident is still under investigation.
