LOCAL TENNIS Newman delayed at IHSTCA state meet Inclement weather Friday put a halt to the Illinois High School Tennis Coaches Association girls dual tennis tournament. Newman, which was scheduled to play at 8 a.m. against Effingham St. Anthony, will play today starting at 8 a.m. at Illinois Central College in East Peoria. The Comets will play a total of three duals today to determine their place among the top eight teams in IHSTCA's Class A.
