Two residents charged with marijuana possession

BY SVS STAFF Two Sterling residents have been charged with marijuana possession after being arrested Thursday. State Police Master Sgt. John Biffany said in a press release that members of the Blackhawk Area Task Force carried out a search warrant at the residence of William J. Moseley, 29, 1718 North St., Sterling. Moseley and another person at the residence, Tani M. Moseley, 23, both were arrested and charged with one count each of unlawful possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, punishable by four to 15 years in prison. Task force members also seized about 31 ounces of marijuana, a scale, several items of drug paraphernalia and $1,300. Both Moseleys were taken to Whiteside County jail, where they each had a bond hearing Friday. Bond was set at $100,000 each, and they remained in jail as of Saturday.
