Nancy Seyller has worked at CGH Medical Center in Sterling for 21 years, where she is a certified health unit coordinator, preparing patients' charts and carrying out doctors' orders. A Morrison resident, Nancy has two children, Christine Ross of Peoria and Timothy Seyller, a graduate student of music at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, and a granddaughter, Hayley Ross, 7. My philosophy to live by is: Do the best you can and be kind along the way. If I could change one thing about life, it would be: The devastating diseases that affect some people. My hero, and why: My mother. She is the most thoughtful and kind person I know. She is quick to offer help to family and friends, and she is a true lady. My idea of fun is: A ride in the fall to view the fall colors and stopping at an orchard. Appointment television: Food Network programs and "The Amazing Race." A sound I love is: Nature sounds in the early morning. A sound I hate is: A baby crying. The best thing I've read recently: John Grisham's "A Painted House." The movie about my life should star: Food Network chef Paula Deen. My biggest phobia is: Bugs. The first car I ever owned was: A Hornet. One person I'd like to meet is: Paula Deen. She's positive, loves her family and is a wonderful cook I am: Kind, sensitive, organized, and funny. Three essential items are: Family, books and peace. My biggest pet peeve is: People who interrupt conversations that don't involve them. My guilty pleasure is: Watching TV all day. Something people don't know about me: I have a passion for dogs. If I could be any person for a day, I would be: Paula Deen. She laughs and enjoys life and the people around her. If I could visit any place in the world, it would be: The Statue of Liberty. One thing I learned doing my job is: First impressions are very important. The best thing about Morrison: When raising my children, as a single parent, in Morrison, I felt the community was safe, the school system is wonderful and other parents took an interest in and looked out for my children.
