DIXON – Bonnell Industries, manufacturers of truck and road equipment, has expanded its facilities and is seeking eight full-time truck technician jobs.
The company purchased 5 acres of land a year ago at the northwest corner of Anchor and Middle roads, about a quarter-mile west of its headquarters at 1385 Franklin Grove Road, and built an 8,500-square-foot building which began operation Nov. 1 with a large shop floor, parts mezzanine, office space and additional worker amenities, along with more parking space.
Bonnell’s truck install division has taken up most of the new space.
Marketing Manager Jessica Lowry cited a growing economy as reason for the expansion.
“Sales have been booming this year and our backlog has been growing,” she said. “All of the activity and manufacturing has really been pushing for it.”
The new space has freed up existing facilities, with more room for manufacturing with different assembly bays and fabrication work space, Lowry said.
Bonnell Industries was founded in 1960, and has been at its current location since 1972. It manufactures snow and ice equipment, road maintenance equipment and industrial leaf vacuum equipment.
