Winter wonderland at the mall
Decorators turned out Sunday to get their Christmas trees ready for Rock River Hospice & Home's 30th annual Festival of Trees celebration and fundraiser at Northland Mall in Sterling. The benefit runs through Nov. 24. Decorated trees are auctioned off to raise money for hospice programs, and a Gala Store with craft and baked goods is open. Between looking at the trees, attendees can watch dancers, choirs and other participants presenting holiday programs. Bids on trees can be placed until 3 p.m. Nov. 24; call Hospice at 815-625-3858, go to hospicerockriver.org/festival-of-trees.html or email karen@hospicerockriver.org for more information.
