OREGON – Aaron and Katie VanRaalte, owners of Northside BarbaQ at 117 N. Fourth St., have launched Northside Cares.

“Northside Cares is an opportunity for us to give back to the community that has given us so much over the last year, and the years to come,” the couple wrote today on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

“We are going to be giving a free meal every Tuesday to someone in the community. This person will be nominated by someone else, it can be someone who goes above and beyond in the community, someone who is struggling, had hardship, or someone who does a lot of good and doesn’t get recognized.”

To nominate someone, email Northsidebarbaq@gmail.com or post a private message on the Northside’s Facebook page.
