DIXON – Michelle Berogan, 47, of Dixon, passed away Friday, September 13, 2019, surrounded by her family at her daughters home in Dixon.

Michelle was born, August 17, 1972, in Chicago, the daughter of Michael and Vickie (Schere) McGuire. She married Kenneth Berogan on November 11, 1997, in Dixon. Michelle had the biggest heart, and found joy in helping others. In her free time she made wedding decorations and loved being outdoors.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth V. Berogan of Dixon; one son, Jonathan (Alicia Gulbranson) McGuire; one daughter, Jenna McGuire; adoptive daughter, Jessica Ankney; three brothers, Scott McGuire, Joseph Bradley, Michael Spencer; two sisters, Dawn Robertson, Christy Bradley; three granddaughters, Tianna McGuire, Serena McGuire, Aiyana McGuire; grandson, Bentley Petkiewicz.

Michelle was preceded in death by her father, Michael McGuire; niece, Alyssa Bradley; maternal grandmother, Laverne North.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday, September 19, 2019, at the Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon, followed by a noon service at the funeral home, with the Rev. Michael Cole, pastor of The Worship Center, Dixon.

Cremation rites will follow the service.

Burial of cremains will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon, at a later date. There will be a Celebration of Life at the Last Stop in Dixon following the service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family.

Arrangements were completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon.
