OREGON – Marilyn Sue Burright, 75, lifelong resident of Pine Creek, died Thursday, September 12, 2019, in Oregon Living & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born January 12, 1944, in Dixon, the daughter of Leonard and Geraldine (Graf) Warner. She married David Burright June 9, 1962, in Oregon. Marilyn attended Oregon schools, grades 1-12, and Sauk Valley College. She worked as a playground supervisor at Nash School and a teacher’s aide for special education and also employed at Wood’s Equipment and McCanse Engineering. Marilyn volunteered at Village of Progress in Oregon and enjoyed tennis, bowling, family travel, working with children and the Chicago Cubs.

She is survived by her husband, David Burright of Oregon; son, Mike (Kathy) Burright of Oregon; grandsons, Brent Michael (Cassie) Burright, Joshua David Burright and Ted Gesin; three great-granddaughters; and brother, Ronald Warner of DeKalb. She was predeceased by her parents and her daughter, Debra K. Burright.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Oregon, preceded by a visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Burial in Riverview Cemetery, Oregon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Marilyn’s name may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital at www.farrellhollandgale.com.
