ROCK FALLS – Charles Theodore Aldridge, age 69, of Rock Falls, died Thursday, September 5, 2019, at his home.

Charles was born on December 23, 1949, in Sterling, the son of Aaron Isaac and Mary Ann (Mattingly) Aldridge.

He was a United States Army Veteran. He married Martha E. (Ruiz) Juarez on August 13, 1984, in Rock Falls. Charles worked as an inventory clerk at Anchor Coupling for 20 years. He loved the outdoors, fishing, grilling out and watching nature. He was a NASCAR fan, especially Dale Earnhardt Sr. and also a Bears fan. He always welcomed friends and family to his “man cave” for a time of gathering.

Survivors include his wife, Martha; his mother, Mary Ann Stevens of Rock Falls; two daughters, Shawnda (Steve) Yuhas of Sheridan, IL, and Jackie (Tim) Bowes of Fort Mill, SC; one stepdaughter, Annette Skinner (Kevin Kersten) of Janesville, WI; one stepson, Marc (Virginia) Juarez of Chesapeake, VA; three sisters, Ruth (Dave) Musselman of Bradenton, FL, Joyce Anderson of Beech Grove, TN, and Rose (Dave) Cooper of Nashville, TN; three brothers, Joe (Sheila) Aldridge of Jonesboro, IL, Dave (Janet) Aldridge of Rock Falls, and Richard (Judy) Aldridge of Seneca, IL; two grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Aaron Aldridge; stepfather, Garnett Stevens; one son, Edward Aldridge; and stepson-in-law, Michael Skinner.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday September 14, 2019, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1002 12th Avenue in Rock Falls.

The memorial service will follow at 2 p.m.
