AMBOY – William R. Forristall Sr., 79, of Amboy died Wednesday, August 7, 2019, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family and friends.

William “Bill” was born on May 19, 1940, in Lee Center, the son of LeRoy and Evelyn (Fenwick) Forristall. He married Eunice “Irene” Atkinson in September 23, 1977, in Lee Center. Bill worked at Motor Wheel in Mendota for 30 plus years and Allied Locke in Amboy for 20 plus years. Bill was an avid Cubs and Steelers fan and enjoyed a good game of Texas Hold ‘em.

Survivors include his wife, Irene, of Amboy; two sons, William (Peggy) Forristall of Export, PA, and LeRoy Forristall of Amboy; two daughters, Tammy (Bill) Finn of Manhattan, KS, and Helen Forristall; one brother, Ronnie Forristall of Franklin Grove; and ten grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wayne Forristall and Leon Forristall; and one grandson.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. He donated his body to Science Care.
