STERLING – Acting on a citizen's tip, police arrested a Sterling woman Wednesday who was wanted for 2 months, accused of fraud, forgery and other crimes in multiple counties and in Clinton, Iowa.
Samantha J. Sliger, 29, was arrested around 1:30 p.m. at a home in Sterling and taken to Whiteside County Jail, where she is being held on $40,000 bond in a Whiteside County case, with multiple holds in the other jurisdictions.
A warrant was issued for Sliger's arrest after she missed an April 24 Whiteside County court hearing on a charge of driving while her license is revoked.
She also was charged with forgery Jan. 15 in Lee County, and had a warrant in that case, and is wanted in Rock Island County for failure to appear in a perjury case.
She also is charged with forgery charge in Winnebago County; and forgery and theft in Clinton County, Iowa.
