DIXON – More than 40 bands and musicians will fill the air with sound at the seventh annual Rosbrook Studio Street Fair, which runs from 3 to 11ish today downtown.
Arts and crafts from local artisans, kids activities, and food and beverages from local eateries will punctuate the day.
Among the many bands on tap are Monarch, a rock band from Sterling; Finding Home, local Christian rockers – and siblings – and The Incredible Folk, who describe their music as “soulbilly.”
The art vendors will pack it up around 8 p.m., but the music should last until 10:30 or so. And of course, a wide variety of downtown pubs will be open for business.
Unlike most Second Saturday celebrations, there will be no open mic night in the studio itself. That’s because all the gear will be being used during the street fair. Open mic night, in fact, is over until September.
