STERLING – The total is in and CGH Health Foundation officials are all smiles: The 2018 fundraising campaign zoomed past its goal and just kept on going.
Foundation officials hoped to raise $380,000; they ended the year with $411,000, thanks to a strong push at the end.
“Gifts received in the last few weeks have lifted us past our annual appeal goal,” Executive Director Joan Hermes said. “We have reached that because of the generous hearts of our donors.”
Money raised will fund various projects within the CGH system. For example, $50,000 will be used to help pay for state-of-the-art equipment at the newly expanded CGH Pediatric Rehabilitation Center, and $40,000 will be used to buy two cardiac treadmills for the CGH stress-testing unit, Hermes said.
Donations still are being accepted. Go to cghmc.com to learn more about the foundation, and to donate.
