It is essential that Americans know the truth about what has been going on regarding the investigations begun by the FBI and continued by Special Counsel Robert Mueller. We know that Mueller found no proof of collusion in the 2016 election and that he did not find evidence to justify seeking indictments for obstruction of justice. Soon, the Mueller report will be released and we will be able to read it for ourselves.
President Trump has stated that he will also release previously withheld documents shedding more light on why the FBI began an investigation without credible evidence, used an unverified partisan document as legal justification to spy on American citizens, and continued that investigation long after key agents had determined that the suspicions were baseless.
President Trump must ignore those pleading for a continued cover-up, and promptly put these documents before the public. Information already available strongly suggests that there was a partisan effort to undermine Donald Trump and protect Hillary Clinton. It is time to know the truth. We are a country of laws; if they have been broken we must know so and prosecute.
