Toe tappin’ show
Get ready to tap your toes to the beat. While dancing is illegal in the town of Bomont, it is legal in Sterling, and students at Newman Central Catholic High School will show off their dancing, singing and acting skills when they perform “Footloose: The Musical.” The show is the story of a teen dancer who moves to a town where dancing is forbidden and fights to change the rules. Showtimes are 7 p.m. tonight and Saturday with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday at Centennial Auditorium in Sterling High School, 19 E. Miller Road. The cost is $8 for adults, and $5 for students and those 60 and older. Tickets available from through 4 p.m. today at Newman High School, 1101 St. Mary’s Road; at Farley’s Appliance in Dixon and at the door before each performance. Call the school at 815-625-0500 for more information.
