At the Whiskey Barrel

ROCK FALLS – DJ D Jones plays Friday; Sugarhost Saturday; and Slick Trigger plays New Year’s Eve, all from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the saloon at 305 W. Second St.

Music by Starlight

STERLING – Caldean, a Jason Aldean tribute band, along with Problem Child and Angela Meyer, are playing the Starlight Lounge, 314 First Ave., starting at 6 p.m. Monday. Tickets cost $20 and are available now.

Music by black light

ROCK FALLS – The Cooler, 311 W. Second St., is having New Year’s Eve black light party Monday, with music by Social Lies and special guests Infestation.

The party starts at 8 p.m. and ends at 1:15 a.m., and there’s no cover charge.

There will be confetti shooters a champagne toast along with a countdown at midnight. Find it on Facebook for more information.

Ramble over to Mount Morris

MOUNT MORRIS – Lyle Grobe and Rhythm Ramblers will play from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Mount Morris Moose, 101 Moose Drive.

DIXON – Fourth Fridays Open Mic begins at 7 p.m. at Post House Community Center, 100 W. Second St.

Each musician or band performs four songs, and a jam session follows. Instruments are acoustic, a sound system is provided, and poets and short-story writers are welcome.
