A labor of love: Local union adopts families for Christmas
Some local families will have a merrier Christmas thanks to the efforts of United Steelworkers Local 63.The union adopted six families and, with donations from its members, provided them with a full Christmas meal plus toys and clothing for the children. Union president Shannon Smith spearheaded the effort and recruited his family to help make deliveries Thursday.
