World War II museum open Sunday

Roberts Armory World War II museum will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. The museum displays artifacts from World War II focusing on the 70th Tank Battalion, 10th Mountain Division, and Rochelle area veterans.
Roberts Armory World War II museum will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. The museum displays artifacts from World War II focusing on the 70th Tank Battalion, 10th Mountain Division, and Rochelle area veterans.

ROCHELLE – Roberts Armory World War II museum, 2090 Brush Grove Road, will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The museum displays specialize in the history of World War II and local area veterans. The Higgins Boat also will be available for viewing, weather permitting.

To find the museum, go to the intersection of state Route 251 and Intermodal Drive in Rochelle and follow the signs. The museum is about 3 miles west.
