Toys for big boys and girls
PROPHETSTOWN – After 32 years, the Coon Creek Men’s Club is dropping its annual Farm Toy Show in favor of a “Last Chance” tractor and equipment show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday in Eclipse Square.
Pre-1975 tractors, farm equipment, and Eclipse lawnmowers, made in Prophetstown from 1904 to 1961 will be on display. A short tractor ride will be offered.

Singing Bird Chautauqua returns
FRANKLIN GROVE – “The Singing Bird Chautauqua: The Forest, the Trees, and the Autumn Leaves” runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Franklin Creek Grist Mill & Interpretive Center, 1893 Twist Road, featuring nature walks, mill tours, live hawk presentations, food, music and a visit from President Teddy Roosevelt.

GRAND DETOUR – John Deere Historic Site’s Fall Festival runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the home off state Route 2.
There will be old-fashioned games, covered wagon rides, pumpkin decorating, blacksmith demonstrations, a chance to interact with alpacas and bob for apples, and tours by staff dressed in pioneer-era costumes.
