Sunset hoops in Dixon

Mateo Rodriguez, 16, of Dixon shoots hoops at Page Park on Wednesday as the sun begins to set. For a while, it looked like a soggy summer wasn’t going to let go, but the season should leave us high and dry as it winds down, ahead of the first day of fall on Sept. 22. The forecast is calling for sun and highs in the mid-80s through Monday, when there’s a slight chance of rain, then things will cool off with highs in the low to mid-70s through the end of next week.
