DIXON – Dixon school resource officer Mark Dallas will be the Chicago Bears’ honorary captain at Monday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks, and you can help him celebrate the honor.

Ed Miller, owner of the Shamrock Pub, is renting a bus and has 24 tickets to the game up for sale.

He has end zone tickets in Soldier Field’s Section 200 for $115; tickets in Section 338 for $169, and tickets 10 rows up on the 50-year-line for $212.

The bus ride, with Dallas on board, costs $40 more. It will leave from the Dixon Walmart parking lot around 4 p.m. on game day, Miller said.

Those interested can text Miller at 815-440-2194; the tickets are being sold first-come, first-served, cash only.

Dixon High School senior Matthew Milby took a 9mm semi-automatic rifle to graduation practice shortly after 8 a.m. May 16, and fired at gym teacher Andrew McKay, who happened to be walking down the same hallway in the Lancaster Gym.

Milby took off running seconds later when confronted by Dallas, who shot him in the upper shoulder and hip. Milby was arrested near his car; no one else was injured.
