SHABBONA – Lois Evalee White, 84, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, at Prairie Crossing Nursing Home in Shabbona.
Evy was born Jan. 10, 1934, in Greenville, Missouri, the daughter of William and Lottie (Atnip) Brown. She married Herbert Curtis White on March 12, 1953, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Evy was employed as a secretary for Franklin Grove Grade School, and also worked for 10 years at Edelmann’s in Dixon. She was a member of Franklin Grove Church of the Brethren and Franklin Grove Historical Society.
Survivors include her husband, Curt White of Shabbona; one daughter, Connie (Roger) Stephenson of Grants Pass, Oregon; one son, Lendal (Michelle) White of Sterling; one sister, Emalee (“Buck”) Rhodes of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Fred (Fran) Brown of Brighton; eight grandchildren, Brian Stephenson, Renee Stephenson, Serena Lahey, David White, Gary Jones, Melanie White, Nick Jones and Kelsey Jones; and seven great-grandchildren, Addison, Lainey, Quentin, Mark, Rhett, Ellie and Evalee.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There are no services. Burial will be at a later date. McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls handled arrangements.
