Missiles earn statement win on road

Mustangs, Wildcatz earn shutout wins; Raiders fall in Freeport

Milledgeville picked up a huge NUIC Upstate victory on the road against Stockton, taking down the Blackhawks 34-8.

The Missiles scored just 13 seconds into the game, led 14-0 at halftime, and 20-0 at the end of the third quarter.

Morrison 18, Kewanee 0: The Mustangs allowed just 15 total yards in a Three Rivers
crossover win at home over the Boilermakers.

Morrison quarterback Jacob Schlegel scored on a 3-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, and threw a 26-yard TD pass to Wade Hackbarth in the fourth.

Keegan Anderson scored on an 11-yard run in the second quarter for the Mustangs.

The Boilers had just two first downs, and were limited to minus-18 yards rushing on 18 carries.

Eastland-Pearl City 36, Durand-Pecatonica 0: The Wildcatz pitched a shutout at home in NUIC Northwest play against the Rivermen.

EPC senior Jayden Kempel ran for 221 yards on 21 carries. Lucas Peterson caught two passes for 40 yards. 

Quarterback Braden Smargiassi was 3-for-10 for 41 yards. Eli Dertz made a team-high 11 tackles for the Wildcatz.

Monmouth-Roseville 37, Erie-Prophetstown 0: The
Panthers were dealt a TRAC Mississippi loss in Monmouth.

Aquin 41, AFC 6: The Raiders were handed an NUIC Upstate loss by the Bulldogs in Freeport.

Cameron Thomas scored on an 8-yard touchdown run in the second quarter for the Raiders to get within 7-6. Aquin scored the next 34 points unanswered.

AFC’s Matt Thompson rushed 10 times for 52 yards. Marcus Cater racked up 49 yards on six carries, while Thomas had 22 yards on four touches.

Raiders quarterback Caleb McBride was just 1-for-10 for 11 yards and two interceptions.
