Clinton Symphony Orchestra will perform Brahms at Centennial Auditorium

STERLING – Clinton Symphony Orchestra opens its 65th season at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Sterling High School’s Centennial Auditorium, 1608 Fourth Ave.

Western Illinois University faculty members Julieta Mihai and cellist Moisés Molina will perform Brahms’ Double Concerto with the orchestra.

Sterling High School string orchestra students will perform two of Brahms’ Hungarian dances with the symphony’s musicians.

Brahms’ Second Symphony will be the final selection of the evening.

The cost is $20; students are admitted free.

A bus is provided; the cost is $8 and it leaves Clinton Park on Third Street in Clinton, Iowa, at 6; Community State Bank, 1325 17th St. in Fulton, at 6:15; and Community State Bank, 220 E. Main St, in Morrison, at 6:40 p.m.
