CLINTON, Iowa – Donald R. Kendell, 82, of Clinton, Iowa, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018, at his daughter’s home in Oregon, Illinois.
He was born Oct. 3, 1935, in Sterling, to Cloyd and Marvel (Kramer) Kendell.
He is survived by his daughters, Diann McKeown of Oregon, and Joann Long and Brenda Kanzler, both of Dixon; sisters, Marian Carpenter of Oregon and Barb Travis of Rock Falls; brothers, Allen (Columbia) Kendell of Janesville, Wisconsin, Gordon (Aimee) Kendell of Sterling and Irvin “Bill” (Sharon) Kendell of Dixon; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and his significant other, Patricia Alter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son-in-law, Duffy McKeown, a son, Timothy Kendell; and one grandchild.
A gathering of friends and family will be from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Monday, with the memorial service to follow at McDonald Funeral Home in Sterling, with Allen Cambpell, pastor, officiating.
