WYANET – Jack L. Kuelper, 78, of Wyanet, died Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford. He was employed as a millwright at Northwestern Steel & Wire Co. for 34 years.
Jack was born June 10, 1940, in Deer Grove, the son of Leonard and Helen (Reffett) Kuelper. He married Judith Morse on Dec. 22, 1961, in Rock Falls.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Kuelper of Wyanet; one daughter, Korina (Dennis) Nichols of Princeton; two sons, Cory Kuelper of Wyanet and Eugene Kuelper of Annawan; one sister, Betty Hotchkiss of Thomas; one brother, James (Esther) Kuelper of Prophetstown; six grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Leonard Kuelper, Ronald Kuelper, Lyle Kuelper and Robert Kuelper; and one sister, Cheryl Kuelper.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Yorktown Cemetery in Tampico, with Roger Carlson, pastor officiating. Garland Funeral Home in Tampico handled arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Tampico Fire Department.
