MORRISON – Ruth E. Tenboer, 82, of Morrison, died Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at Resthave Home in Morrison. She was employed as a secretary by the Resthave Home for 28 years.

Ruth was born Sept. 21, 1935, in Morrison, to Anthony and Josephine (Norman) Prins. Ruth married Wayne E. “Whitey” Tenboer on March 5, 1954, in Fulton. He died Dec. 27, 2004. Ruth was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Cynthia (Chris) Zemko of Elgin; three sons, Loren (Connie) Tenboer and Kelvin (Sara) Tenboer, both of Morrison, and Alan (Sally) Tenboer of Racine, Wisconsin; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Wilma Tiesman of Leesburg, Florida; two stepsisters, Dorie (Bob) Huddleston and Katie (Bob) Byczek, both of New London, Iowa.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Marilynn Prins; and one brother, Larry Prins.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, with Ken Renkes officiating. Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison. Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison is handling arrangements.

Memorials have been established to Ebenezer Reformed Church and Resthave Home.
