OREGON – The second Rockin’ River Fest will run from noon to 11 p.m. June 16 on the Oregon riverfront on Second Street.

The festival will feature lots of family games and activities, live entertainment, a 50-50 raffle and more. Also on tap: a beer garden and food.

Festivities will include a triathlon this year. Participants will run along the riverfront, climb the stairs at Black Hawk statue, run through the park and then circle back to Park East, where they will bike a 10-mile trail before taking the canoe out for a 5-mile jaunt. The race will be professionally timed. Participants can register at active.com or between 7 and 8:30 a.m. race day at Oregon Park East Riverfront Pavilion.

“Tug Across the Rock” will pit teams on each side of the Rock River in a tug of war. Teams must be co-ed and can have up to 15 pullers, with a total team weight not to exceed 3,600 pounds.

There will also be a bags tournament at 4 p.m., with cash prizes awarded to the top three teams. Teams can sign up at rockinriverfest.net or the day of the event at 1:30 p.m. Registration is $40 per team before June 14 and $45 at the event.

Activities for the whole family will include a pink flamingo ring toss, frog flinger, lawn bowling, target golf and more. There will be a “Tots Territory” this year for kids 5 and younger. Kids can earn gold coin tokens and redeem them for special prizes.

A food court will offer all types of grub, and local businesses will have products on display.

Live music in the beer garden will be provided by 4 Wheel Drive Band, SoulStorm and The Party Doctors. Adult beverages will be sold by The Crystal Cork Wine Shoppe.

Admission to the festival is $5 for ages 13 and older, and $3 for kids 4 to 12. Tickets will be sold for games, food and beverages.
