Public invited to lend an ear to corn discussion

STERLING – Cynthia Clampitt will present “How Corn Changed Itself and then Changed Everything Else” at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Lincoln Learning Center, 611 E. Third St.

Clampitt has pursued food history over 3 decades and six continents, and “she delights in introducing people to the remarkable, fascinating, vital, but often overlooked, impact food has had on human history and everyday lives.”

The Sterling-Rock Falls Historical Society program is free, but donations will be accepted. Refreshments will be served.
