OTTAWA – U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger will face off against his opponent for the 16th Congressional District seat, Sara Dady, in a debate next week.
The Republican from Channahon and the Democrat from Rockford will take part in a radio debate at 10 a.m. Monday co-hosted by WCMY-AM 1430 and The Times newspaper of Ottawa.
Derek Barichello, news editor at The Times, along with Rick Koshko and Ethan Kruger from WCMY will moderate the debate and ask questions about local and national issues.
The hour-long debate will take place at WCMY and won’t be open to the public, but it will be broadcast live on WCMY-AM 1430 and 1430wcmy.com, as well as being available on-demand at 1430wcmy.com following the program.
Dady, a Rockford immigration attorney, is hoping to unseat Kinzinger in the 16th District in November, where he’s running for a third term. The district, which includes all of Lee, Ogle and Bureau counties, has been held by Republicans for all but 2 years since 1917.
