The Sauk Valley Community Concert Association has unveiled its 2018-2019 season.
The season will open on Oct. 12 with a performance by the Sons of Serendip, who took fourth place on the ninth season of “America’s Got Talent.” The group plays a combination of contemporary music, mixing in a bit of Motown.
Classical and contemporary music lovers will enjoy the next concert, the “dazzling” American classical pianist Charlie Albright on Oct. 29.
A performance by Paul the Beatle, a one-man show by Bob Halligan Jr. highlighting the career of Paul McCartney, is set for Jan. 31. More than a tribute show, Halligan “shines a light on the mastermind of McCartney,” according to a news release.
7th AVE, featuring Home Free founder Chris Rupp, will round out the season April 3.
Season passes are $45 through April 28. The price includes admission to the last concert of the current season with Alias Brass at 7 p.m. that same day at Historic Dixon Theatre, 114 S. Galena Ave. Current members can bring a new member to the concert, where both can sign up for membership for $40 each. After April 28, memberships will cost $50.
