OHIO —áIt’s still unknown what caused a fire that broke out at Swanson Trucking Inc. in Ohio early Friday morning.
The blaze left the building a total loss.
According to Ohio Assistant Fire Chiefs Keith Ackerman and Nate Doran, a neighbor who lived across the street from the business, which is at 301 W. Green River Road (state Route 92), called in the fire around 3:55 a.m. Friday.
The Ohio Fire Department and eight other fire departments responded and found the building to be totally engulfed in flames when they arrived on scene, according to Ackerman.
Ackerman said it wasn’t until 11 a.m. Friday that firefighters finally wrapped up on scene.
There were no injuries, and no one was inside the building when it caught fire, according to Ackerman.
But inside the building was a fairly new semi tractor-trailer, a loader tractor, many tools, a camper, a motorcycle, and many other miscellaneous items. Those items were a total loss.
The estimated amount of damage is unknown at this time.
The building and business is owned by Brooks DeBruhl of Ohio.
Two state fire marshals were on scene Friday afternoon investigating the cause of the fire. Ackerman said it could be awhile before a cause is determined.
Wyanet, LaMoille, Amboy, Malden, Walnut, Manlius, Sublette and Princeton fire departments assisted at the scene.
