STERLING POLICE

Sparrow M. Lewis, 18, of Sterling; 9 a.m. Friday; misdemeanor criminal sexual abuse of a minor; court records not available as of Tuesday afternoon. This case is in addition to a previous Whiteside County Court charge of misdemeanor criminal sexual abuse of a child at least 13 but younger than 17 filed Dec. 21; Lewis has a March 21 hearing in that case.

Joyce M. Geiger, 24, of Rock Falls; 8:50 a.m. Monday at East Lincolnway and Lynn Boulevard; failure to yield making a left turn; released with a promise to comply.

Sheena M. Castillo, 29, of Rock Falls; 11:31 a.m. Monday in the 2900 block of East Lincolnway; expired license, no insurance; given a notice to appear in court.

Todd M. Hopkins, 45, of Sterling; 12:35 p.m. Monday at East Fourth and Locust streets; suspended licence, no insurance, no seat belt, Whiteside County warrant for failure to appear in court on a 2017 no insurance charge; posted cash bond.

Margaret C. Hayes, 31, of Sterling; 1:59 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of Third Avenue; Whiteside County warrant for failure to pay or appear in a November 2016 driving without a license case for which she was convicted in February 2017; posted cash bond.

Jordan L. Kaye, 18, of Sterling; 4:54 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of East Fourth Street; domestic battery; in Whiteside County Jail Tuesday on $30,000 bond; preliminary hearing March 19.

Jamison Bauer, 35, of Sterling; 10:12 p.m. Monday at Eighth Avenue and East Sixth Street; expired license; given a notice to appear in court.

WHITESIDE COUNTY SHERIFF

Khristofer E. Blair, 32 of Stockton; 5:10 p.m. Monday, northbound on state Route 78 about a mile north of Bunker Hill Road; driving too fast for conditions, no insurance, and revoked license; given notice to appear in court.

LEE COUNTY SHERIFF

Gregory S. Morris, 52, of Dixon; 11:07 p.m. Sunday; DUI; posted $3,000 bond and given notice to appear in court.

Jacob D. Corning, 23, of Rock Falls; 3 p.m. Monday; failure to pay or appear; bond set at $3,000.

OGLE COUNTY SHERIFF

Ruben Ramirez, 50, of Rochelle; 12:14 a.m. Saturday in the 10000 block of East Fisher Road; disorderly conduct; released on his own recognizance.

Melvin Wilton, 20, of Dixon; 8:35 p.m. Saturday in the 12000 block of east state Route 38; suspended license; posted $150 of his $1,500 bond.

Pablo Garcia, 34, of Peoria; 6:19 p.m. Sunday in the 4200 block of south state Route 2; suspended license; posted $150 of his $1,500 bond.

Kevin L. Staten Jr., 28, of Creston; Monday; Ogle County warrants for failure to pay or appear on a December felony domestic battery conviction and a subsequent petition to revoke his probation; held at Ogle County Jail on $20,000 bond.

Lindsey Roberts, 33, of Lindenwood; Monday; Ogle County warrant for failure to appear in court Feb. 13 in an ongoing misdemeanor theft case filed Jan. 8; held at Ogle County Jail on $5,000 bond.
