AMBOY – Gary D. Conderman, 72, of Amboy, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018, at his home.

He was born June 27, 1945, in Dixon, the son of Roy L. and Marcella A. (Bell) Conderman. Gary was a lifelong farmer in the Amboy area, and had worked for Motor Wheel in Mendota, as well as Allied Locke Industries in Amboy before retiring. He was a veteran of the Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Green River Saddle Club for more than 20 years, and a member of Amboy American Legion. Gary married Nancy Suddeth on Nov. 4, 1978, at Shabbona Congregational Church.

Survivors include his children, Rich Conderman of Amboy, Barb Conderman of Elizabeth, Steve (Wendy) Conderman of Amboy, and Phil (Carrie) Conderman of Sterling; and five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Koty, Kristina, Hannah, and Hailey Conderman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Eileen Conderman.

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, and from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, with the funeral at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy, with Pastor Karen Berg officiating. Military rites will be accorded by Amboy American Legion. Cremation rites will follow, with burial of cremains at a later date at Prairie Repose Cemetery in Amboy.

Memorials have been established to the Amboy American Legion and Amboy Fire Department.
