GOP congressional primary candidate holding town hall in Dixon

DIXON – Republican 16th Congressional District candidate James “Jim” Marter from Oswego will hold a town hall from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Loveland Community House & Museum, 513 W. Second St.

Marter, 55, and Jaye DeBates from Granville are running in the March 20 primary against incumbent Rep. Adam Kinzinger. The Democratic ticket includes Neill Mohammad from DeKalb, Sara Dady from Rockford, Beth Vercolio-Osmund from Ottawa, and Amy “Murri” Briel from Joliet.

The 16th District covers all of Lee, Ogle, Bureau, Boone, Grundy, Iroquois, LaSalle, Livingston, and Putnam counties, and parts of DeKalb, Ford, Stark, Will and Winnebago counties.
